Wanted to see how good my "out of the box" anatomy was. Came up with a new sketching technique that helps a bunch.

She looks slightly pregnant because of the semi-round belly and its shininess

I love that a lot. I mainly like it for the lighting and such. simple colors and over all good placement.

Toast... is a universal force, and it drives us all to wake up and smell the coffee.
Essentially, you have to be able to have strong mental imagery. I throw down a series of short, incomplete sketch lines, sometimes just a dot or two where I think an elbow is. In the same way that we can see shapes in clouds or faces in those speccly plaster ceilings, I can begin to see what I think the image I want is, and start bringing out those lines. Because, somewhere in our brain we have a pretty good record of human anatomy.
